Sunday is Here!

We are in the final stretch...I hope that what you take away from this challenge is not only the rewards from the hard work that you have put in but also the idea that consistent time spent on your business will provide ongoing rewards.

Work a little each day, to keep the rewards flowing.

Speaking of work, it is also important to take vacations and right now, I am on vacation and will not be able to post the results of Week Three.  I hope you still emailed me your points and will work on Week Four with renewed energy.  I will be home on Saturaday and will look forward to reading all your posts, tallying the scores and seeing who is going to the cabin with me!

Team Challenge Week Two: Mojo Monday Week Two

Mojo Monday, January 10th

I hope you all had a restful weekend.  I love the idea of creating on Monday.  I often wait and do my creating later in the week as a reward and then it gets pushed to the side cause I have to finish up what I didn't do during the week.  I am going to start rewarding myself on Monday!  It will give me energy to make it through the week.  Creativity is my therapy!
 10 points:
Create a card/layout using a Color Me Monday combination from the month of December.  Visit Jeanette's Blog and choose a color combination that suits your fancy.  Combine this with the 20pt challenge and you are working smart!
Respond:  Post on blog or Facebook, the date of the color challenge you chose.  Give it a link so others can go directly to it.
20 Points:
Create a card/layout using any stamp set featured in the Inspirations brochure.  If you are using the color combination from Jeanette's blog instead of the "Wings" color combo, you will see how fun and versitile our stamps and color pallette can be!  Give it a try!

Sunday Results! I am overwhelmed and impressed!

Hey everyone,

I just have to say, this week has been amazing to me!  I am so thankful for those of you who have taken on this challenge and spurred me on to try and keep up with you!  I had no idea how you would respond when I began this, especially when I pulled it out of the hat pretty quickly.  But, I am doing this with two other consultants who have larger teams than I do and they have been so inspiring and motivating.

I appreciate all your questions, responses, and feelings that you have shared.  I know that some of you are overwhelmed but have taken the challenge and others have not been able to take on the challenge at this time.  Here's what I love about CTMH:  you are an independent consultant and you can work your business into your life.  What comes first to you is important....and it probably isn't your CTMH business.  I applaud you for recognizing your priorities, abilities, and deciding if you can do this now.  Know, I am here to support you in the coming weeks and I am looking forward to a scrapbooking weekend away with those who reach 1000 points.

And now for some honesty from me...the last time I worked this hard for one continuous week was the May of 2006 when I began in earnest to earn the Mediterranean cruise.  Let me tell you...it was hard, it required persistence and consistency but IT PAID OFF!  I earned that cruise and Jeff and I spent our 20th anniversary on board!  Your work will pay off!

Now for the results for the week:

Tracie Cassidy earned 270 points

Carla Pizzaro earned 350 points

Cindy Newell earned 305 points

Jessica Booth earned 155 points

Our highest point winner for this week is Carla!  I will be in touch via email to get you your reward.  And for those who particpated, your card is in the mail!

Have a great, successful, and productive week!

Super Saturday Team Challenge: Day 7

Well it has been the first week of the challenge.  How are you doing?  I hope you feel energized and successful!  Now that you have the ball rolling, keep it going and don't forget to email me your point total by tonight at midnight.  I will post this week's winner and get those cards sent out to you who are playing along!

10 pts.     Create a Spring/Summer Idea Book wish list shopping plan.  When I first look through a new idea book, I want it all!  But I know that we can't have it all.  Take some time to look at your next couple of months and plan out what items will help support the events you have on your calendar.
Respond:  Post on the team blog one of your "must haves" from the new idea book.

20 pts.  each   Contact & invite customer to New Idea Book event.  I recommend phoning people on your invite list.  I find that if they are not home, I will leave a message like the following:  "You are invited to my _____event.  I have sent you an email on _________ date.  Take a look at all the fun we are going to have and let me know if you and a friend will join us."
Respond:  How many people did you phone?  How many did you actually talk to?  How many are planning to attend.

30 pts.  Contact & invite hostesses to schedule gathering in January or February.  I use a similar message as above, with an email listing the next couple of dates I have available.  Then you will probably still have to follow up with another phone call.  Maybe in the email you can ask for the best time to call.
Respond:  How many people did you phone?  What are the dates you have set with a hostess?

40 pts.   Plan gathering/classes/workshops for February – July  Combine this with your shopping list and you will be working smarter...not harder!  Think about the holidays coming up and schedule workshops or events with projects that will coordinate.
Respond:  What is the date of your workshop in April, May or June?

50 pts.    Set goals for first quarter 2011 (January-March).  Option one:  Watch  Setting and Achieving your Goals in the training academy, 101 Personal development course, print out and complete worksheets that go with the training.   SMART Goals worksheet  and/or
Setting and Achieving Your Goals Worksheet
Option two:  What is your why in the 101 business courses.  Complete the activity suggested Then get specific and write down your why.

Respond:  Share one of your goals on the team blog and the actions to plan to take early on toward achieving that goal or share your "why" in one or two sentences.

Looking forward to hearing from you.  Remember Sunday is "family" day so no new challenges will be posted.  Enjoy your weekend.

Michele

Card from Inspirations, Wings and Jan SOTM

For Mojo Monday 20 point Challenge

I used the bulk butterfly paper from wings and did the "puddle pad" technique as described by Kim Lohberg.

"For the multi colored images:

I used the baby wipe & re-inker technique – took a folded baby wipe and used Vineyardberry, Bamboo & Black re-inker squirted onto the wipe. There’s lots of ways to ink the baby wipe but I like to have a main line of a light color – I started with the bamboo – then added vineyard berry to one side towards the top and then the other side towards the bottom – then filled the rest in with the black.  I LOVE the effect you get with this technique."

I place the baby wipe on my 4 x 6 block so I have a large, flat surface to work with.  You can also see the "puddle pad" technique in the April 13th 2010 Art & Soul webisode "Live Your Dreams"

Give it a try...so much fun!

Thursday is here!

Alright, it's Think Ahead Thursday! Have you got your thinking caps on? Here we go....

10 pts: Create a product ordering Wish List from the Sping/Summer Idea Book. What I like to do is mark all of the items I think I will use in my business for workshops, etc, then go back and prioritize my list. That way you can spread your purchases over a few months if necessary. Don't forget to add in Door Prizes for your New Idea Book Event, club gifts, incentive gifts, etc.
Respond: Comment on the team blog the retail total of your entire Wish List! What is the 22% Commission on that total?  What can you get for free if you are a hostess?

20 pts: Inventory your gathering/hostess/recruiting/business supplies and make a supply order. Be sure to check the Master Supply list for updated items, prices, and item numbers.  If you want to see a copy of the following brochures before you order them, set up an EZ invite and you will be directed toward a page where you can "preview" these items.  I even saved a copy on my computer so I could print one at home.
Respond: Comment on the team blog whether you ordered the "You are Welcome Here" and "The Rewards Come Now" brochures to give to hostesses and potential recruits.

30 pts: Make a list of all previous or potential hostesses
Respond: Comment on the team blog how many are on your list!

Friday is a comin' and almost the end of hopefully a very productive week!
